Contacting students: Contact your students as soon as possible and let them know that changes are taking place in the course. Let them know what your email availability is and with what learning system you intend to communicate during your online lessons.
Set realistic online teaching goals: Do you think you can maintain the original plan and schedule for the course? Is it likely that students will continue to read the materials and do the tasks? How can you get them involved in the course content?
Change what needs to be changed: Find elements in the syllabus that you have no choice but to change. This includes course policies, deadlines, assignments and more. Students should be informed of these changes.
Use of new tools: Choose tools, teaching and learning approaches and workflows that are familiar to you and to your students. Introduce new tools only when really needed.
